JANICE L. MILLER, a life-long resident of St. Petersburg, died peacefully on February 9, 2024 at the age of 97.

Janice was married to Judge Richard A. Miller (deceased 2005). Janice is survived by her three children, sons Glenn (Lorraine, Destin, FL) and Tim (Norni, St. Petersburg, FL) and daughter Nancy (Seminole, FL). Janice has four grandchildren, Julie Miller (John – Melbourne ,FL), Ashley Palmer (Landon – Northport , AL), Allison Gonzalez (Max – Houston, TX), and Grant Miller (St Petersburg, FL). Janice also has five great grandchildren, Savannah, David, Henry, Clark and Arthur.

Janice was an active and giving member of the St. Peterburg community. Janice was a member of First United Methodist Church, contributed to “Literacy America” as a tutor and was a fifty year member of the PEO Sisterhood. Janice spent countless hours working with the Pinellas Braille Group and was proud to have walked as a clown in the Festival of States Parade. Janice and Richard were members of the Squires Club and Bucketeers. Janice was also a highly successful Realtor. Janice and Richard traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada and Europe.

Janice also loved working in her garden. Her flowers, orchids and a huge staghorn were among her favorites. The Miller home was the frequent gathering place for informal family and friends get-togethers. Her Christmas Day Open House was not to be missed. Family and visitors came from near and far to join the celebration. It must also be noted that Janice did not like to swim but did enjoy having her backyard on the bay filled with splashing kids, dogs and boats of all kinds.

A memorial celebration is scheduled for 2:00 – 4:00 March 16, 2024 at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home - 2201 MLK (9th) St N St Petersburg.
