Valarie Prusia: Uncle Dirk was a true man of God and leader in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. I have many great memories of him. He dearly loved his family. He spent many hours taking us out in his boat, teaching us to ski, taking us fishing and making me bait my own hook (with live bait, no less). Uncle Dirk was funny and enjoyed a good laugh. He always had a twinkle in his eye and would give you that look of his that told you he was up to something. I, more than once, found him hiding in his pantry eating a jar of peanut bar but eating down the core so Aunt Jane wouldn't know he had eaten the whole jar of peanut butter. He'd always let me hide with him and we'd dip chocolate in the peanut butter so we'd have our own "Reese's Peanut Butter Cup"
I know that I will see in him again when we meet again in heaven and I can't wait to spent eternity reminiscing with him, Aunt Jane, Uncle Fred, Gonny and Bobbop
Love you, Valarie
