Funeral Director

We have an immediate opening available for a licensed Funeral Director.  This is a great opportunity to expand your career with one of the nation’s most recognized funeral companies.

This position interacts directly with client families during their time of need and is responsible for creating meaningful and memorable funeral experiences while maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction.  Applicants should be well versed in all aspects of funeral arrangements and service delivery.  In addition to funeral planning and service delivery, funeral directors will be required to participate in general cleaning of facilities (both inside and outside) in order to maintain a world class customer experience.  Applicants must have a professional appearance, be self-starters, possess good attitude, and be a team player.  Applicants must demonstrate a desire to participate in growing market share while maintaining the superior level of service for which Anderson-McQueen Company is well known.

Requirements & Qualifications:

•Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred

•Must have the appropriate Florida funeral licensure or the ability to reciprocate license from another state

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with families during time of need and create and maintain a premier level of client family satisfaction

•Proficient with computers and technology with knowledge of MS Office Tools while possessing efficient typing skills

•Ability to manage a caseload while creating an exceptional customer experiences

•Excellent driving skills and record

•Ability to lift 50 lbs or more

FirstCare Escorts (Transfer Staff)

We have immediate openings available for FirstCare Escorts.  This is a great opportunity to begin or expand your career with one of the nation’s most recognized funeral companies.

Our FirstCare Escorts are often times the initial ambassadors for our company when a death occurs.  All FirstCare Escorts will have direct interaction with client families as well as other health care and social workers within our communities, such as Hospice workers, Nurses, Police Officer, Certified Nursing Assistants and more.  FirstCare Escorts are responsible for transferring the deceased from the place of death, or elsewhere as directed, to the funeral home, crematory or Care Center.  Due to the nature of the position, FirstCare Escorts will have both day and night shift duties.  While on duty, FirstCare Escorts will be assigned a company vehicle for performing said transfers as well as other company supplied equipment. 

In addition to transferring remains from the place of death, FirstCare Escorts may also be involved in transferring casketed remains from one location to another; transporting remains to airports for out of state transfers; assisting Care team with duties a may be needed at the Care Center, including but not limited to general cleaning of facilities (both inside and outside) as well as company vehicle & equipment in order to ensure safe and effective delivery of services to our client families.

FirstCare Escorts must perform their tasks in a friendly, helpful manner to all customers – both internal and external – to ensure successful delivery of our standards of service.

Funeral Associates

We have immediate openings available for Funeral Associates.  This is a great opportunity to begin or expand your career with one of the nation’s most recognized funeral companies.

This is a position with flexible hours based on the needs of the location, which may include weekends and evenings.  Tasks can range from serving client families during funerals and visitations to assisting as pallbearers; driving a limousine or hearse; transporting remains to the airport; and general cleaning of the building (both inside and outside) to ensure client family satisfaction.  The foregoing duties are intended as examples and not limitations on the functions of this position.

Funeral Associates perform tasks in a friendly, helpful manner to provide excellent service to client families. It is the responsibility of the Funeral Associate to provide support throughout the locations assigned to help ensure a seamless customer service process is achieved.
